Officially introduced to the hotel community in June 2007, at the NYU International Investment Conference, Paramount Lodging Advisors is a classic example of a product and service meeting a need in the hospitality industry. After enduring a number of less than satisfactory experiences with brokers while disposing of family owned hotel assets, founding member, Chairman and Senior Managing Director Daniel Beider recognized the deficiency of a fully cooperative, ethical and operationally knowledgeable hotel advisory firm in the hotel space. He immediately sought to fill that void.
At time of announcement the Paramount Lodging Advisors team consisted of eight founding Principals: Daniel Beider & Sanjeev Misra (Chicago, IL), Stephen Mills (San Francisco, CA), Jim Mouzourakis (Vancouver, BC), Phil Miller (Ithaca, NY), Josh Williams (Charleston, SC), Joe Ross (Richmond, VA) and Stephen Potel (London, UK).
Each of the founding principals all came from a background of either hotel ownership, operations, development or all in some cases. The level of experience and industry acumen that Paramount was built upon has served as the foundation for aggressive expansion turning eight partners and seven offices into twenty one total advisors at nine locations to present date, October 2009.
